Remembering Jeff Laping

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of Jeff Laping.

Jeff was a former Assistant Coach with the Bisons, as well as a friend, mentor, and advisor. He was a huge part of our local basketball community. A longtime and legendary coach at St. Paul’s High School,

Jeff coached and mentored many young men who went on to become Bisons, as well as countless others in our community through his school, several provincial teams, and many years with the Jr. Bisons program.

He won several provincial titles at St. Paul’s, but his priority was always mentoring young players into becoming “men for others” and building lifelong relationships.

Through all of these contributions, it is impossible to measure the impact Jeff had on our community.

Along with countless friends and teammates, Jeff leaves behind his wife, Leigh-Ann; his sons, Nicholas, Hayden, and Ashton; his mother, Bev; and his siblings, Nicole, Mike, and Susie.

Our thoughts are with the Laping family at this very difficult time.

Rest easy, my friend.
