Isaac Miller-Jose, a 2023 graduate of the Herd’s basketball program, made his mark on the international basketball stage. Since leaving the Bisons, Isaac has played professionally in both New Zealand and Australia and was recently called up to represent New Zealand on the Tall Black’s Select team.
Miller-Jose played a key role in the Tall Blacks Select’s impressive 84–77 victory over Team China in Guangdong.
Making the most of his nine minutes on the court, Isaac scored 11 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting, helping the young New Zealand squad secure a memorable win over China's National Team.
The victory was particularly impressive given that the roster was finalized just five days before the game and the team had only four practices together. Seven players were experiencing senior international basketball for the first time.
For Miller-Jose, the performance represents another important milestone in his basketball journey and a proud moment for the Bisons program.
