Together We Rise Fund Donor Wall

Bisons Men’s Basketball Elite Performance Campaign

In 2023, members of the University of Manitoba’s 1976 National Championship team launched the Together We Rise campaign.

The campaign unites alumni, supporters, coaches, players, and the university community with one shared goal: to provide the resources necessary for the Bisons to once again compete for a national championship.

Why It Matters

Our mission is to ensure every Bisons player experiences a top-tier student-athlete environment—one that fosters excellence, character, and competitive success.

Key priorities identified by Head Coach Kirby Schepp include:

  • Hiring a full-time assistant coach
  • Funding international competition opportunities
  • Enhancing recruitment and player development resources

Progress to Date

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, $280,000 in gifts and pledges has already been raised—enough to fund a full-time assistant coach and the international team trips such as the Portugal trip in August 2025.

These investments are already paying dividends, helping the program attract and retain top-tier talent.

Our next target is $400,000, ensuring the continued growth and sustainability of Bisons Men’s Basketball.

We extend our sincere thanks to the individuals and organizations who have supported the Together We Rise Campaign, funding a full-time assistant coach, international travel and additional recruiting resources.

The Together We Rise Donor Wall below recognizes those who are major supporters to this ongoing fundraising campaign.
