Bisons Triumph in Thrilling OT Showdown, 88-82!

The Bisons celebrated an electrifying overtime victory in front of an energetic and supportive crowd, delivering a game packed with drama and excitement that left fans on the edge of their seats.

The Herd led by as many as 19 points in the third quarter, but Alberta mounted an impressive comeback with a scorching shooting run, cutting the deficit to just four points by the end of the third.

The fourth quarter was a nail-biter, with both teams battling fiercely. The Bisons found themselves trailing by two with just 19 seconds left. Manyang Tong rose to the occasion, driving to the hoop and sinking a clutch layup with only six seconds remaining to tie the game. Alberta managed to get off a last-second shot, but it rimmed out, sending the game to overtime.

In overtime, the Bisons seized control with stellar defense and clutch three-point shooting. Mason Kraus (pictured below) played a pivotal role, hitting a critical three-pointer before coming up with a key steal on the very next possession. He then found a streaking Watts, who capped the play with a thunderous two-handed dunk that brought the crowd to its feet.

Manyang Tong added five crucial points down the stretch, silencing any hopes of a Golden Bears comeback and securing the Bisons' six-point victory.

The Bisons and Alberta are set to clash again tonight at 7 p.m. at IGAC.
