Our Bisons’ win, combined with Calgary’s loss to Winnipeg last night, propels the Herd into first place in the Prairie Division with an impressive 9-1 record. Both Calgary and Winnipeg now trail closely behind at 8-2.
It was a total team effort in Brandon, as 12 players saw court time and 10 contributed to the scoreboard. Bisons showcased their playmaking with 27 assists and limited their turnovers to just 13—a significant improvement from Friday night’s performance.
“Our depth was probably the biggest difference. Playing an OT game the night before took a lot out of the Bobcats. We played more guys both nights and were able to keep our intensity.” - Coach Kirby Schepp.
Bisons dominated from the opening whistle, surging to a commanding 42-20 lead at halftime. Andre Gray II (pictured above) came off the bench to ignite the Herd with a stellar 19-point performance, shooting 3-4 (75%) from beyond the arc and 8-10 (80%) overall.
With momentum on their side, the Herd now turns their attention to an important double-header against Calgary next weekend.
