Congratulations to the Winnipeg Sea Bears on defeating the Brampton Honey Badgers 98–84 to capture their first CEBL Championship in front of a record crowd of 12,519 fans at Canada Life Centre.
Bisons alumnus Simon Hildebrandt had a huge game, scoring 24 points, grabbing six rebounds and hitting the game-winning three-pointer to help bring the championship to Winnipeg. Even more impressive, Simon had just scored a career-high 24 points against Vancouver in the Western Conference Final last week.
Bisons alumnus Mason Kraus also contributed valuable minutes in the championship victory, while current Bison Ramogi Nyagudi, who did not see action, gained valuable experience as a member of the Sea Bears.
