Congratulations to Winnipeg native Simon Hildebrandt on signing a professional contract with BBC Bayreuth of Germany.
Hildebrandt, a 6'9" forward who currently plays for the Winnipeg Sea Bears, joins the German club after completing his NCAA career at Washington State University and previously starring with the Manitoba Bisons, where he established himself as one of the top Canadian university players of his generation.
Known for his versatility and perimeter shooting, Hildebrandt shot 37 percent from three-point range in his final NCAA season.
Bayreuth cited his shooting ability, versatility, and winning mentality as key reasons for the signing.
