Congratulations to Bison alumnus Simon Hildebrandt on signing with the Winnipeg Sea Bears for the 2026 summer season. Simon previously suited up for the Sea Bears in 2023 and 2024, making this an exciting homecoming for the talented Winnipeg product.
Simon began his collegiate career with the Bisons, where he quickly established himself as one of the top players in the country.
In 2023, he earned an impressive list of accolades, including Canada West First Team All-Star honours, U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian recognition, U SPORTS Rookie of the Year, and a place on the U SPORTS All-Rookie Team.
Following his time with the Herd, Simon continued his development at the NCAA Division I level. He competed with the High Point Panthers, where he reached the March Madness tournament, before concluding his collegiate career with the Washington State Cougars.
Now that his university career has come to a close, Simon returns to Winnipeg to continue his basketball journey at the professional level.
