Bisons Upset by Bobcats, 101-90

The Herd and the Bobcats went toe-to-toe through much of the first half, trading baskets and momentum. The game was tied 26–26 after the opening quarter, and the Bisons held a 48–42 lead heading into halftime.

But the second half belonged to Brandon, as the Bobcats outscored the Herd 59–42 — pulling ahead 72–69 after three quarters and finishing strong with a 29–21 fourth.

The Herd battled hard inside, outrebounding Brandon 41–35 and owning the paint with a 50–42 edge in interior scoring.

The difference came from beyond the arc, where the Bobcats were nearly unstoppable — hitting 11 of 15 threes (73.3%) and shooting 53.5% overall. The Bisons couldn’t match that touch from distance, connecting on only 6 of 24 (25%) from three and 46.5% overall.

Defensively, the Herd never quite found their usual rhythm.
Coach Kirby reflected,
“We were out of sync on defense tonight. Poor communication on the actions, and at times we were lost.”

Taven Vigilance scored 17 points, shooting an impressive 78% from the field, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
