The Investors Group Athletic Centre (IGAC) is getting a fresh new look this summer as the University of Manitoba begins a series of significant upgrades to the home of the Herd.
The first phase of the project is underway, with the original court being removed after years of hosting countless Bisons games, championships, and memorable moments. Trucks carrying the new flooring have arrived on campus, and installation of the new court is now beginning.
The improvements won't stop there. Next summer, the University will continue the renovation with the installation of new bleachers that will provide a safer and more comfortable experience for fans. Additional cosmetic enhancements throughout the gym are also planned, giving the facility a refreshed appearance while preserving the tradition and history that make IGAC such a special place for Bisons athletics.
These investments demonstrate the University's ongoing commitment to providing an outstanding experience for student-athletes, coaches, alumni, and fans. We look forward to seeing the next generation of Bisons create new memories on the new court and in an enhanced game-day environment.
