The Bisons have added another impact player from Quebec with the commitment of 6'2" point guard Samuel Desrochers of Gatineau for the 2026-27 season.
Desrochers arrives following a standout season with the Cégep Jean de Brébeuf Cyclones, where he helped lead the team to both the RSEQ provincial championship and the CCAA national title while earning All-Canadian honours.
A two-time provincial champion, Desrochers averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and a league-leading 3.9 steals per game in 2025-26.
Renowned for his defensive intensity, he was named the Cyclones' Team MVP, RSEQ Defensive Player of the Year, and a First Team All-Star in both the regular season and playoffs.
Head coach Kirby Schepp believes Desrochers' winning experience, toughness, and two-way play will allow him to make an immediate impact with the Herd.
