The Bisons wrapped up the Canada West regular season with a 13–7 record, earning the #5 seed out of 17 teams across the conference and positioning themselves for a challenging - but achievable - postseason run.
Play-In Round
Thursday, February 12 | 5:00 p.m. PST | UBC
Manitoba’s playoff journey begins in the Play-In Round (Quarter-Finals) against the #12-seeded Brandon Bobcats. The Bisons and Bobcats are familiar opponents, and Manitoba will look to carry its regular-season momentum into a must-win matchup on the road at UBC.
Quarter-Final Challenge
Friday, February 13 | 2:00 p.m. PST | UBC
A victory over Brandon would immediately send the Bisons into a quarter-final showdown with host and higher-seeded UBC, less than 24 hours later. The quick turnaround presents a demanding test, both physically and mentally, but one the Bisons must navigate to keep their championship hopes alive.
Semi-Finals
Weekend of February 20–22 | Higher Seed’s Site
If Manitoba advances, the Herd will face the winner of the Calgary–Thompson Rivers–Winnipeg series in the semi-finals, played at the higher seed’s location. A win in this round would not only send Manitoba to the Canada West Conference Final, but also secure a coveted berth in the U SPORTS National Championship. Both finalists in the gold medal game automatically qualify for Nationals.
Canada West Gold Medal Game
Weekend of February 27–29 | Higher Seed’s Site
A semi-final victory would propel Manitoba into the Canada West Gold Medal Game, where the conference championship would be on the line. The winner would also earn a more favourable seed at the National Tournament.
The path is demanding, the margins are thin, and every game matters - but the Bisons have put themselves in position. The road to gold starts now.
