The University of Manitoba Bisons Men’s Basketball program has a proud tradition of developing elite point guards—and that legacy continues with the addition of Titus Heron.
Heron was named MVP of the 2023–24 Rothesay Netherwood School (RNS) prep team in New Brunswick. He averaged 17 points and 5 assists per game while shooting 40% from beyond the arc in the National Preparatory Association (NPA Canada), one of the country’s top high school leagues.
“I’d like to thank my family for believing in me and guiding me from day one,” said Heron, a former member of the New Brunswick U17 provincial team. “I’m also grateful to Coach Gay, Double A, and Coach Thor for constantly pushing me. I’m extremely excited about the opportunity Coach Kirby Schepp and the Bisons have given me—I can’t wait to contribute and help the team win.”
Bisons head coach Kirby Schepp shares that excitement.
“Titus is a tremendous building block for the future of our program,” said Schepp. “He’s a proven scorer, a high-character leader, and comes from a top-tier program at RNS. We’re confident he’ll be ready to take on a significant role.”
Heron joins fellow 2025 recruits Ethan Wiebe, a 6’9” forward, and Dante Dyck, a 6’3” guard—both from Winkler, MB—as part of the Bisons’ promising incoming class.
