Today was one of those days I know I’ll look back on and smile.

We started the day off by taking a 20-minute bus ride to Belém. As soon as we arrived, we gathered around this huge monument.

It’s shaped like the front of a ship and has statues of famous explorers lined up on the side.

On the ground in front of it, there was a big world map engraved in stone, showing all the routes the explorers took.

After that, we walked over to the Jerónimos Monastery. We didn’t get to go inside, but just seeing it from the outside was beautiful.

Not far from there, we found the spot where they were offering horse-carriage rides, so we split into our small groups and hopped on.

It was such a fun and relaxing experience. The horse pulling us was named Noah, and she was super calm the whole time.

The ride lasted about 20 minutes, and we got to see more of Belém and even caught a glimpse of the President of Portugal’s house (the Pink House).

Later on, we suited up for our game. We started with a lot of energy on both ends of the court.

Everyone was locked in, playing tight defense and pushing the pace.

The ball was moving fast, and we were hitting some clean shots early on.

Overall, we got the win and finished the day on a high note.

This trip has been an amazing experience for our team in so many ways.

We’re all extremely grateful for the chance to be here and understand the hard work and dedication from our alumni and donors that made this possible.

We’re thankful for all the support and effort that went into making this trip happen!
