Manitoba secured a gritty victory over the pesky Griffins in a hard-fought contest. Despite Mason Kraus getting into early foul trouble and playing limited minutes in the first half, the Herd built a commanding 51-34 lead by halftime.
By the end of the third quarter, the Bisons extended their advantage to 71-49. However, they suffered a setback when Cieran O’Hara sprained his ankle and was sidelined for the remainder of the game.
In the fourth quarter, the Griffins mounted a furious comeback, draining multiple three-pointers and scoring in transition. Despite being outscored 30-15 in the final frame, Manitoba managed to hold on for the win.
Tito Obasato (pictured above) delivered one of his best performances of the season, shooting an efficient 4-for-6 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free-throw line for a total of 13 points. He also contributed across the board with nine rebounds, six steals and two assists.
