The Herd secured a hard-fought defensive victory last night, with both teams forcing turnovers and contesting shots, resulting in low shooting percentages from beyond the arc on both sides.
It was a grind-it-out, low-scoring affair, with the Herd maintaining the lead throughout—17-14 after the first quarter, 35-26 at halftime, and 53-50 heading into the fourth.
Every time the Bisons seemed poised to pull away, the Cougars answered back, keeping the game within reach. In the end, the Bisons came up clutch, making key shots and delivering crucial defensive stops to seal the win.
